We presented to members of the Stormwater Victoria and Stormwater Queensland in September 2020 on the practicalities and insights of maintenance. The event was SOLD OUT - with over 500 registrations. See below for a recording of the session.
A new app to record maintenance
Pretty happy to be able to report that we developed a custom app to record individual site inspections Wave Maintenance are doing to maintain green infrastructure & WSUD.
Our app:
Uses Google infrastructure and hence means we have no ongoing fees and no ongoing IT infrastructure to manage
Can be used on any device (phone, tablet, laptop) and could be used by anyone in any city
Allows us to upload photos and videos
Allows us to capture before and after shots
Allows us to continually upgrade the app / database with any new fields, clients, places, as we grow and as we think of useful data to capture in the maintenance process
Allows us to do custom reports as well as a standard report
Records time of site inspection automatically
Can be completed within a few minutes while in the field
Helps us refine how long different routines take, and also help collect data on how short but frequent maintenance runs are more effective than one long visit each year
Will in the long term allow us to analyse how much it costs to maintain this infrastructure.
I think this will become a valuable tool in our move towards the maintenance of sustainable and smart cities.
Hail the maintainers
Interesting article on maintenance that was published last year. http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/latenightlive/hail-the-maintainers/7367660
Live!
Excited to start this business and engage with clients and places that need good quality maintenance of green / wsud / sustainability assets.
Thanks for checking us out.
